Prithviraj Sukumaran’s recently released film ‘Aadujeevitham’ saw a slight decline in numbers on April 1, which happened to be a Monday. The decline in collection is expected during the weekdays and it could pick up momentum yet again on the weekends. The film, written and directed by Blessy, received appreciation for Prithviraj’s performance, AR Rahman’s score and its technical brilliance. The film is now marching towards Rs 50 crore net in India. The film recorded a fantastic opening opening weekend and earned around Rs 30 crore.
On April 1, Monday, ‘Aadujeevitham’ saw a drop in collection as it earned around Rs 5.25 crore net in India. The early estimates suggest that the film’s numbers dropped by Rs 3 crore when compared to the collection on March 31. The film released in theatres on March 28 in multiple languages.
In five days, ‘Aadujeevitham’, also known as ‘The Goat Life’, is said to have raked in Rs 35.55 crore net in India. The Malayalam version had an overall occupancy of 53.74 per cent on April 1.

For the unaware, ‘Aadujeevitham’ is based on writer Benyamin’s novel of the same name. It is about Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer, who is forced into slavery in a secluded farm in the deserts of Saudi Arabia. Prithviraj Sukumaran played the role of Najeeb in the film.
Apart from Prithviraj, the film also features Jimmy Jean-Louis, KR Gokul, Talib Al Balushi, Amala Paul and Shobha Mohan in pivotal roles. ‘Aadujeevitham’ is jointly produced by Visual Romance Image Makers, Jet Media Production and Alta Global Media. Composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer KS Sunil form the technical crew.
