KTMB offers refunds to all affected by service disruption between Kamunting and Bukit Merah – MASHAHER

PETALING JAYA: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will refund tickets fully to all passengers affected by the disruption of the Electric Train Service (ETS) service between Kamunting and Bukit Merah on Tuesday (April 9).

Apologising to all passengers once again, KTMB said as a follow-up to its earlier official statement all passengers who did not continue the services can send in their application to the email address at [email protected]y.

It said the disruption was due to an electrical line being unexpectedly severed which prevented the captain from informing the passengers of the disruption.

“The train crew took steps to inform every coach of the situation and a short message service (SMS) was also sent,” said KTMB in a statement on Thursday (April 11).

“The passengers were shifted to an additional locomotive which was sent to the location with the assistance of the train crew and KTMB staff. The passengers were also given refreshments at the Bukit Mertajam and Butterworth services.
