JAMMU: Three workers at a transmission tower in Chenani of Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district were found dead under suspicious circumstances in a tent on Monday morning. Police launched a probe to determine the cause of the deaths.
The deceased — Anil Chand (24), Sonu Ram (26), and Balbinder Chand (28) — were all residents of the district. They were employed as guards/labourers at the transmission tower in Kalori under Gantwal panchayat in Udhampur’s Lower Kud area, police said, adding that the bodies, found around 11am, bore no injury marks.
On being informed, a police team rushed to the spot, took the bodies into custody and sent them for autopsy to Chenani CHC.
